    Basically, the Softwood comes from the coniferous trees. In other words, we it is also called as evergreen trees. Because, it's leaves do not fall till the new ones grow. Softwood grows in regions with the cold climate. The growth of these trees are faster.  The wood of these tress are less expensive as compared to hardwood. They are more sustainable as they can be easily grown. There are different types of softwood as mentioned below:

    01. Pine Wood :

    These tree are soft, white or light-yellow wood. These wood are light in weight as well as it having the straight-grained. It resists shrinkage, swelling, and warping. Pinewood is very easy to shape and stain. The woods of pine tree decays easily when it comes in contact with soil. Pine tree grows in most parts of the Northern Hemisphere. In India, these trees grown in the region of western Himalayas, Assam as well as in the Nagpur.

    These was the most popular types of hardwood. It's colour was yellow to dark brown and is extremely heavy, strong, durable, weather-resistant, warp-resistant and it does not decay easily. Teak wood having an straight grain pattern.

    The natural oils make teak woods termite as well as the pest-resistant. The wood of teak does not burn easily. It is quite expensive when compared to other wood types. Teak wood we can found in central as well as in the southern India.

    Oakwood is one of the most widely used types of hardwood. These wood can be classified into two basic types: white and red. The red variety is also known as black oak.

    The oak wood important properties are it is heavy, strong, light-colored hardwood. Work on oak wood is easy. Also the oak having a good resistance to moisture, fungus, and yeast. Oak mainly grows in different parts of America, Asia, North Africa, and Europe. In the north-eastern parts of India, we can found Such types of hardwood trees.

Also in India, we get it in the hilly regions of Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.

Also it having a straight grain in the trunk. Walnut woods was strong, hard as well as it is more durable, without being excessively heavy but it is also the warp-resistant.

    The Walnut wood excellent woodworking qualities as well as takes finishes well. If we compare the walnut wood to other hardwood, it is very expensive. These wood we can easily found in Europe, America, and Asia. In India, we can found it in areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.
